Help me congratulate our dear Sister Shamira Bening for emerging the winner in this year’s maiden National Beauty pageant organized by the Ghana Matrons Conference held in Kumasi this month.

Matrons from the 16 regions took part in the maiden beauty pageant and our sister who represented the Upper West Region took the crown home.

It is a milestone for the people of the region more especially Sissala land, she is making us proud as a tribe and we hope more of our people take part in beauty pageant and bring the crown home like she did.

The beauti pageant was part of the association 20th year anniversary celebration, the annual conference of Matrons happen every year to acess their work and how they can push forward to greater heights.

This years conference was held in Kumasi with Matrons from all over the 16 regions.

The Matrons are calling on government to increase their cooking staff since the numbers in the various senior high schools has double in some cases quadruple.
