The Nadowli District Director of Center for National Culture, Mr. Songsore Mulumba has outlined steps being taken to address issue of ‘unfair’ Eviction of Hatie Nwadei from 2024’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful.
It can be recalled that on the 25th of September 2024, Awuraa was selected to the expense of Hatie after voting was held to decide who will go into the next round as 6th favorite.
Media General’s TV3 Gave a deadline of 12am, 25th of September to choose between Hatie and Awuraa from Bono Region Based on Votes. Later in the Day, Awuraa of Bono Region was Selected after it was reported that Hatie was leading with over 37,000 Votes whilst her contender had a little Over 17,000 .
Mr. Mulumba indicated in a write-up that the Deadline given by TV3 wasn’t applied and also that the GMB App was manipulated.
He has given three alternatives which are as follows:
-Refund to be made to Upper West Region
Reinstate Hatie or Upper West Region Boycotts the Program.
Earlier Today, 26th of September 2024, Hatie Issued a Statement indicating her team was fighting to get her Justice.
“All our concerns scripted here.My dear people, thank you for holding me this far.My team is seriously on the agenda to find #Justice4Hatie”.
Statement from Songsore Mulumba Below:
We had a successful meeting with the General Manager of TV3 Ghanaon the back of our petition presented yesterday.
We came to a consensus that Hatie would’ve had a better chance if the system was transparent in the voting process until the deadline.
I must confess she was receptive to our demands stated as follows:
To invite Hatie to participate in the finals or reimburse the monetary value of votes cast during the tie-breaking contest against Ewuraa If at least one of the conditions stated isn’t met then the upper west will withdraw from participating in future GMB pageants.
We shall meet again at noon tomorrow to receive the final decision of the team in relation to our demands.Ngmenlabagna
