Residents of Karni in the Lambussie District have expressed worry and appealed for Stakeholder Interventions after their roads have been taken over by rising water level as a result of overflow from Dangban Baa, a Dam in the Karni area.

Some roads leading to Piina and Jirapa have been blocked compelling road users to suspend travels.

The rainfall started yesterday, 6th October 2024 till today 7th October 2024 and the Magnitude of rainfall has resulted in the overflow of water from the Dam into parts of Karni community.

Rainfall patterns in the Country have changed significantly due to climate changes, some experts have also blamed deforestation for the horrendous effects.
