Former President Mahama who doubles as NDC’S Presidential candidate for Ghana was in Daffiama on the 12th of October 2024.

In his campaign statement, he outlined several issues as follows:

4.”All SHS Infrastructure Have Come to a standstill, Bawumia and Akufo-Addo have Used GETFund as Collateral for Loans and spent the money”

5. “The only money that Accrues to GETFund is 40%, it’s not enough to pay contractors”
6. “Ask their DCEs, the Assembly Common Fund Doesn’t Come, they spend it in Accra. They call DCEs to Accra to come and collect Wallentin Boots, Wheelbarrows.”
7. “NDC is Responsible for Providing Electricity, Roads, Water, Health Facilities, Schools”

8 “How Can you be Better today when you buy Cement for Ghc110 when Under Mahama you bought it for Ghc25, You’re buying a Gallon of Patrol at Ghc72 Today when Under Mahama you bought it at Ghc14?”
