In August 2024, Teachers with Ghana Education Service sat for their Promotion Exam to the Grade of Assistant Director II and Assistant Director I Respectively on the 20th and 21st of August 2024.

Some wrote their exams at NJA Ahmadiyya College of Education in Wa whilst others Wrote at Tumu College of Education in Tumu.

In the Wa NJA College of Education, some Teachers complained of Sabotage after they went to the Center to meet nobody at the time the paper was to start. Per information they had, the paper had ended at 10am in the Morning.

Per the Digital Message sent to teachers, the exam was to begin at 10am but teachers who travelled from places including Bole, Sawla, Nandom, Hamile to the center couldn’t sit for the exam because Invigilators distributed the papers before time and took the papers back early than expected.

A Teacher Name Withheld Told CCT Teacher Association in Wa.

“When we went for this recent promotion exam, the time indicated on the SMS was 10:00am, meaning every one should start answering by 10am

Guess what..

Some of your people Appointed as Invigilators came at 8:45am, distributed the papers at 9am, told us to start at 9:10am and took away the Papers at 10:20am.

A Deliberate Attempt to sabotage others yet to come and sit for the paper at 10am.”

The CCT Upper West Regional Chairman, Abdullah Salifu Alhassan expressed Surprise with the Development indicating he was aware of the development but in a different context. According to him, the message he had was rather putting blame on teachers for lateness.

“I heard some people missed their paper but the blame was rather put on them due to their lateness. No body brought it out the way you did.”

Several Teachers have called for thorough investigations into the matter and sanctions metted out to Invigilators involved.
