Several Parties are optimistic of victory after the December 7th General Elections in Upper West Region and Beyond.

The Wa East Constituency is one of the intriguing Constituencies that hasn’t maintained a Lawmaker consistently for more than necessary.

Godfrey Tangu served for more than 4 years but not consistently. Mr. Amin Salifu Served in 2012 on the ticket of NDC, Dr. Jasaw was elected in 2020 After Godfrey Tangu in 2016.

Dr. Ewura won the NPP Parliamentary Primaries for Wa East Constituency, a former Presiding Member of Wa East District Assembly. He is striving to unseat Dr. Godfred Jasaw meanwhile Dr. Jasaw is working tirelessly to get a second term in Parliament.

There are areas in Wa East Constituency that will be of public Interest during the Elections.

  1. Guonuo: The Community has no Electricity and Communication Network Access. They have called on government severally to address the problem.
  1. Baayiri: People of Baayiri have complained of their Market, a major source of Cash to cater for families.
  1. Funsi: People of Funsi have expressed worry over neglect of the District Assembly, it’s guest house that was razed by fire, it’s basic schools such as funsi Islamic School, It’s Abandoned SOCO Town Road Project, Abandoned fire service station and Market.
  2. Duu West: Residents of Duu West have complained of being disconnected from their Capital Funsi indicating that they get disconnected by close to 7 Rivers, some residents have transferred their votes to Kojokperi in Daffiama-Bussie-Issa Constituency.
  3. Halimboi-Jikpe: The community has no electricity and their roads are not in good shape, they have little school desks.
