As the December 7th General Election is Drawing closer, several communities in Wa West District have declared their stance as to what to do on the day of elections.

Two communities have expressed disasisfaction with happenings in their areas indicating they have been neglected.

These communities have issued notices that, if their concerns aren’t addressed, they shall boycott the elections.

Firstly, The Samanbo Community Residents have threatened not to vote due to the state of a major Road passing through Samanbo. They expressed worry with a project that was expected to improve the road but instead, the road was rather downgraded into a dusty road affecting their health a businesses for several years.

Secondly, Tendoma Community in Ponyentanga Electoral Area: Residents have threatened not to vote if their community isn’t connected to the national grid to have access to electricity. Speaking to Assembly Member for Ponyentanga Electoral Area, Hon. Ziem Benedict, he indicated that the community has over 350 Households and it’s their expectation that all these houses will be connected to the National Grid.
