MTN Ghana has made a donation of 30 Christmas Hampers containing detergent, Powder, Soap Detergents, Wipe, Cream, Detol, Diapers and toys to Nursing Mothers and their babies at the Wa Municipal Hospital and the St. Joseph Hospital in Jirapa on Thursday, 26th of December 2024.

These Hampers were donated to mothers who gave birth on the 25th and 26th of December 2024.
The delegation, led by Upper West Regional Manager of MTN Ghana, Mr. Seth Owusu Nyamekye, emphasised MTN’s dedication to corporate Social Responsibilities including assiduity to improved healthcare services in the country for growth and development.

Mr. Seth Owusu Nyamekye also took the opportunity to wish Nursing Mothers and those to put to bed a favoured and in luck delivery. He commended Health Professionals at the facility for their commitment to Work and also outlined reasons for Thier end of Year Gesture as a company.

“This year we are happy to Visit the Wa Municipal Hospital and the Jirapa Hospital to Donate Baby Hampers to our mothers who gave birth on the 25th and the 26th as part of our annual Event we carry out, this is not the first time we have been doing this on yearly Basis.., the items include Powder, Soap Detergents, Wipe, Cream and even toys that the Babys can play with when they grow up.”

He also explained what motivated the company to carryout the Activity.
“As part of Giving Back to the Society, it’s part of our Corporate Social Responsibility”.

He gave statistics of the Distribution of Hampers Accross the Upper West Region Indicating the Activity is Nationwide.
“In Total, Upper West Region, We Were Given 30, Upper West had 30(Hampers), to be given to Babies who were born on the 25th and 26th of December and We chose Wa Municipal Hospital and St. Joseph Hospital in Jirapa”.

10 Women Gave birth through Cesarean Section and Delivered 5 Boys and 5 Girls out of the Surgical Process on the 24th and 25th of December 2024. Six Children were born on the 25th of December 2024, 5 Boys and 1 Girl.
