A Journalist with Radford FM, Bashiru Jinapor has reported a surge in prices of Sim Cards in Tumu, the Capital of Sissala East Municipality.
According to Jinapor, the Development has affected Businesses and individuals in line of communication.
Some Individuals According to his report on Tuesday, 31st December 2024 are compelled to buy MTN Sim Cards at an alarming cost of Gh₵220.
Checks in Wa revealed one can be able to purchase same sim card at Ten Ghana Cedis (Gh₵10) in the Office.
Some Stakeholders have explained that retailers take advantage of the long distance Customers have to Travel to get these sim cards.
Statement from Bashiru Jinapor of Radford FM.
“Is this not fascinating, the MTN office in Tumu cannot replace SIM cards, new SIM cards but private people can offer these services. I am told a SIM card now costs Gh¢220 in Tumu, HOW can this happen. Very sad, is the SIM card A phone OR!”
