We would strongly advocated for the young hardworking man Mr Mumuni Ilyasu Kansanaa to be appointed as the District Chief Executive. We have a strong great admiration for him, especially after witnessing how he commanded his selflessness working towards the victory of NDC in Wa West both in the Presidential and Parliamentary run in the recently ended 2024 general elections.

Beyond that, We knew him as a seasoned development and research expert who can lobby and can have strong networking skills in significantly developing the progress of the District.

As indicated in Article 243(1) of the Ghana’s 1992 constitution, the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCE’s) shall be appointed by the president with the prior approval of not less than two-thirds majority of members of the District Assembly present and voting.
