The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Upper West Region is gearing up to vet aspiring Municipal and District Chief Executives in the Upper West Region Starting tomorrow at 9 am, the vetting committee will assess the qualifications of All shortlisted individuals who have expressed interest in the role.
This was captured in a letter Signed by Lawyer Charles Lwanga Puozuing, The Upper West Regional Secretary of NDC.
This process is part of the NDC’s efforts to select competent leaders for the region who will take charge of the administrative duties of the area.
venue for vetting Shall be Resident of Upper West Regional Minister Also known as Residency in Wa Sombo.
The Vetting According to Districts/Municipalities is in this Order.
20th January 2025 – Sissala West, Sissala East
21st January 2025 – Lambussie and Lawra
22nd January 2025 – Nandom
23rd January 2025 – Jirapa, Nadowli-Kaleo
24th January 2025 – Daffiama-Bussie-Issa
25th January 2025 – Wa West
26th January 2025 – Wa East District, Wa Metropolitan.
STRICT RULES FOR VETTING OF APPLICANTS
- The Applicants shall report at the venue at 8:00am.
- The registration of Applicants shall commence at 8:00am and end at 8:45am (Please
note: If an Applicant fails to register during the stipulated time, the Applicant shall be
deemed disqualified.) - There will be a briefing of all registered applicants for the day of the vetting at 8:55am.
- The vetting shall commence at 9:00am and shall be in the order of the registration of
Applicants. - Even though the constituencies shall have two (2) representatives each, the
representatives shall only serve as observers and/or reference for the panel and shall
not be entitled to ask any questions. - During the vetting, an Applicant is permitted to seek clarification on a question or issue
raised by the panel. - Mobile phones are NOT ALLOWED in the vetting room. Failure to comply shall constitute
a ground for disqualification.
