Dr. Rashid Hassan Pelpuo was to be Vetted on the 29th of January 2025 but the process has been adjourned till Thursday, 30th December 2025.

In an interview With Dr. Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, Minister Designate for Labor, Jobs and Employment, he indicated that the adjournment was as a result of an investigation to be carried out on Oliver Barker, a private legal practitioner who accused the vetting committee of Bribery and Corruption.

“Today is a day set aside to investigate speculations made by Oliver Barker, he made allegations that the vetting committee takes bribes, so today was set aside to investigate it..”

He complained of the cost involved in Accommodating his sympathizers and feeding due to such an impromptu schedule

“It’s something that has affected us, imagine all these supporters and the time they will spend waiting, the cost of that”.
