Ten People contested in the Council of State Elections Held Accross the Country, Out of 11 Contestants, The NDC Vice Upper West Regional Chairman, Mr. Michael Kwame Mumuni was elected to take Over from Prof. Daniel Bagah, A Lecturer of Simon Diedong Dombo University of Business and Integrated Development Studies(SDD-UBIDS).

Mr Michael Kwame Mumuni has been elected Council of State Representative for the Upper West, polling eight votes out of a total of twenty-two.
