The Piina SHS Headmaster, Alhaji Adams Mahama Issahaku Also Known as Okonkwo was captured in a video by some youth of Lambussie District carrying food they believe were smuggled from Piina SHS.

He was reported to Lambussie District Police in 6th February 2025.

He Case was heard and adjourned by the Nandom Magistrate Court on 13th February 2025.

He is to earn 50% of his salary whilst Investigations are ongoing per the GES Code of Ethics.

Interdiction
Section i)
An Employee shall be interdicted, if
he/she is under investigation and that
his/her continued stay at post is
likely to interfere with the
investigation.
Section ii)
The interdiction shall be justified, if
there is the likelihood that the
offence committed could be grave.
Section iii) No employee shall be interdicted in
excess of the period of three (3)
months.

Section iv) A staff who is interdicted shall be paid 50% of his/her salary. If the
outcome of the disciplinary
proceedings does not result in
d ismiss a l / t e rmi n a t i o n , t h e
remaining 50% of the salary
withheld shall be restored with
interest at the prevailing rate, when
the final decision is made.

The Headmaster of Piina SHS, Mr. Adams Mahama Issahaku Also Known as Okonkwo was interdicted in a letter Dated 7th February 2025 and signed by Razak Abdul-Korah, the Upper West Regional Director.

His interdiction came a day after he was reported to have engaged in food smuggling, the food items found in his official vehicle branded with Piina SHS were bags of rice, charcoal , sugar etc.

He was arrested by the Piina Police in Lambussie whist investigations begun.

Alhaji Adams Mahama Issahaku was a former DCE for Wa East District under erstwhile Kuffour Administration.
