The interdiction of Piina SHS Headmaster, Alhaji should not exceed three months according to The Directive of Ghana Education Service in their Code of Conduct.
The Headmaster was Interdicted on 7th of February 2025 for allegedly smuggling food items including Rice using the Schools Official Vehicle.
Directives by Ghana Education Service on his Interdiction are as Follows:
GES Code of Conduct – Revised in June 2017 – Page 78
Section iii) No employee shall be interdicted in
excess of the period of three (3)
months.
Section v)
In all cases, interdiction shall not last
for more than three months. Where
there is the need for the interdiction
period to be extended, the
Disciplinary Committee shall inform
the disciplinary authority who shall
in turn seek the approval of the Public
Services Commission.
Section vi) An employee who is interdicted shall receive half pay excluding any other
allowances he/she is entitled to.
