Former Minister for Water and Sanitation, Hon. Amidu Chinnia Issahaku, has called on national leaders to prioritize tree planting as a crucial step toward environmental protection. His advocacy was highlighted in a Facebook post on February 20, 2025.

Hon. However, we must also make a deliberate effort to restore and replace renewable resources, especially trees.”

Sharing his admiration for the lush greenery in a suburb of Harare, Zimbabwe, he noted, “It will be great if we, as a country, embark on a serious tree-planting initiative.”

The former Member of Parliament for Sissala East underscored the beauty and importance of nature in its purest form, urging Ghanaians to take action in renewing and restoring the environment.
