Wa: Teachers Donate Cash to Support Colleague Affected by Gas Explosion

Several Teachers with CCT-GH now known as PRETAG have donated an amount of Ghc3,950 to a colleague Teacher Affected by Gas Explosion.

Mr. Kofi Boakye was referred to the Upper West Regional Hospital for Emergency Medical Attention few days Ago.

The Gas Explosion occurred at Bongwan Teachers Quarters in the Lambussie District on the 3rd of March 2025.

UPDATES ON THE GAS EXPLOSION (OUR DEAR BROTHER KOFI BOAKYE)

On behalf of the regional Chairman, Mr. Alhassan Abdallah Salifu and the entire executives, we sincerely we wish to thank all PRETAG teachers of the Upper West Chapter for your brotherly assistance and support to Mr. Kofi Boakye in his gas explosion injury.
As you may all be aware, PRETAG Upper West received a total contribution of 1,978.00 from voluntary contributions from members in the region.
A total of 1,950 was withdrawn this morning and presented Mr. Kofi Boakye, on behalf of PRETAG members, formerly called CCT-GH in the upper west region.
On the same vain, the National President, Mr. King Ali Awudu, with the support of his national executives, also issued a cheque of two thousand Ghana cedis (2,000) to Mr. Kofi Boakye. This was also presented this morning on behalf of the Union under his stewardship, Mr. King Ali Awudu, the president of PRETAG.
We wish to inform you that Mr. Kofi Boakye has expressed his gratitude to the members of the union in the region for the wonderful assistance and support shown to him. He thanked the region and national for coming to his aid. He added that PRETAG members mean a lot to him, and the union is a family. Added that PRETAG is a welfare union that cares about the welfare of its members.
Once again, we wish to thank our members for this unprecedented honour.
Mr. Kofi Boakye is strong and responding to treatments. Let continue to remember him in our prayers.
