Police Investigate Robbery Incident, Assures Communities of Enhanced Security

The Upper West Regional Police Command is investigating a robbery incident that occurred on Friday, March 28th, 2025, at about 9:00 pm between Boli and Luggu. The command picked the information on this platform and wish to thank all for sharing. Intelligence is been gathered for action. Unfortunately, two young men were injured during the incident and are currently receiving treatment at the Regional Hospital in Wa.

The Police have visited the victims and are working diligently to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

In addition to investigating the incident, the Regional Police Command is also addressing the security concerns of the local communities. The Command is taking steps to forestall future occurrence of such incident in the area.

Meanwhile, the Regional Police Commander, Deputy Commissioner of Police Mr. Nii Darko Offei Lomotey, led a team of officers to the Regional Hospital in Wa on Monday, March 31, 2025, at 2:00 pm. This visit was a follow-up to check on the condition of the victims who underwent surgery on March 30, 2025.

During the visit, the Commander and his team interacted with the victims and their relatives, offering words of encouragement and support. This gesture demonstrated the Regional Command’s commitment to building cooperation, trust, and harmony between law enforcement and the general public.

The visit also underscored the Command’s dedication to ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals in the region, while also fostering a sense of community and partnership between the police and the public.
