According to Upper West Regional Communication Officer of National Democratic Congress (NDC), the Public Relations Officer of the Upper West Regional Coordinating Council, Mr. Simon T. Faayi revealed what actually happened before the Upper West Regional Minister Left Wa For Accra Ahead of the Eid festivity held on the 31st of March 2025.

In a Communique Shared before the Eid festivity, Mr. Simon indicated that the Minister was invited over to Accra for a Meeting which left him with no choice than to travel out of town, he added that, all necessary stakeholders were informed of the Sudden appointment and were duely informed through the right channels.

Dear Media Organisations,

I am writing to inform you that the Hon. Minister, unfortunately, will not be able to participate in the Eid Mubarak prayers in the Upper West Region as planned. An urgent call has been received from Accra, requiring the Hon. Minister to travel to the national capital.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding in this matter. The Minister hopes to participate in future events in the Region and looks forward to continuing to engage with the community.
