In a Letter Dated 4th April 2025, Technical University Teachers Association of Ghana (TUTAG) of Dr. Hilla Limann Technical University have laid Down their tools requesting for some demands to be met at the University.
These demands include the request for some allowances to be paid and also for some logistics to be provided to support teaching and learning in the ICT and Fashion Departments.
DECLARATION OF STRIKE
I write on behalf of TUTAG members of Dr. Hilla Limann Technical University (DHLTU) to
inform you that at an emergency meeting held on Friday; 4
th April, 2025, the association
declared an indefinite full strike with effect from Monday; 7
th April, 2025 until Management
fulfils the following demands:
- Payment of two months Online Teaching Support Allowance (OTSA) arrears as was
promised by Management on 13th March, 2025. - Provision of an agreed schedule to clear the remaining thirty-two (32) months arrears of
OTSA. - Payment of Internally Generated Fund (IGF) component of End of Service Benefit (ESB)
to all our retired members. - Payment of this year’s OTSA from January 2025 to March 2025 to members.
- Provision of projectors and other Teaching and Learning Materials (TLMs) at the lecture
theatre. - Restocking of broken-down computers at the Computer Laboratory.
- Provision of extra sewing machines at the Fashion Design Studio.
We wish to reiterate that it is our concerted position that until the University Management meets
these demands, our industrial action remains in full force.
