On the 4th of April 2025, President Mahama through the Local Government Ministry released a second batch of Nominated MMDCES after the first batch of 8 regions was released late March 2025.

Out of the eleven nominees, one female was shortlisted to represent the Nadowli-Kaleo District after previous agitations for female representatives at the Various Assemblies.

Upper West Region has 6 Districts, Four Municipalities and one Metropolitan.
