The Office of Upper West Regional Chief Imam has released a statement after a purported video of Upper West Regional Minister was spotted on social media on the 4th of April 2025.

In the Video the Minister, Lawyer Charles Lwanga Puozuing was in an engagement with a delegation from North-west Soyabean Value Chain Association when he made reference to some allegations on Home Radio seeking to chastise him for not being present at Eid Prayers held on the 31st of March 2025.

In a portion of the 40 minutes video, The Minister indicated that he was in Accra to attend to a call from above a reason he was absent from the Eid Prayers, he sites some instances where individual prayers generally can be postponed when someone is busy with work, he continued that with one’s busy schedule, he or she can combine at 5 Islamic Prayers instead of idling and taking Tea.

His statement didn’t go down well with the Muslim Ummah as they demand for an Apology in 72 hours from now, 8th April 2025 till Friday, 11th April 2025.
