Mr. Adamu Yakubu, the former Assembly member for the Kpaviara Yalia, has been decisively confirmed as the Municipal Chief Executive for the Sissala East Constituency, securing an impressive 30 out of 31 votes.

Before the election, A Presiding Member was elected by the Sissala East Municipal Assembly.

Hon. Marifa Alhassan Huaru Elected Presiding Member for Sissala East Municipal Assembly.

Hon. Marifa Alhassan Huaru was elected as the Presiding Member of the Sissala East Municipal Assembly. He secured 29 out of the 31 total votes cast, with one vote marked as “No” and one rejected on the 16th of April 2025 before the Assembly begun Voting in the confirmation exercise.

Adam Yakubu, a Teacher by Profession was Nominated by President Mahama Together with 10 others from from Upper West Region for confirmation earlier in April.

Before his confirmation, The Jirapa Municipal Assembly has also confirmed Mr. Peter N.N To-Ang as MCE for Jirapa with a 80.77% Endorsement after a second Voting Road. He was rejected in the first round after polling 34 Votes out of 52 Votes.
