A Heavy Rainstorm has affected lives and properties in the Wa Metropolis today, 18th – April – 2025.

The Rains Started at about 14:00GMT and during this period it was accompanied by a Storm which destroyed properties and businesses along the Hilla Limann Highway and the The Wa-Tumu Highway.

A Technical School by name Naa Momori Technical Institute wasn’t left out after roofing of its ICT Lab was ripped off by the storm.

Some portions of Wa Emmanuel Regular Baptist Church roofing was also ripped of in the unfortunate instance.

A Very prolific restaurant opposite the Wa VRA/NEDCo Head office known as Dine in Delicacies was affected after a Tree fell onto it’s building causing havoc.

Some shops close to the Upper West Regional office of National Association of Graduate Teachers(NAGRAT) were also affected after a Tree Fell onto shops in the area.

Mayor of the Wa Metropolitan Assembly, Alhaji Nuru Danwana Together with Officers of NADMO were at the Scenes to assess the level of Damage, Alhaji Danwana assured that he will laise with Stakeholders to assist affected individuals and institutions.
