The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Has elevated most of its regional Executives from the Political Administration to the Social Administration level to serve in various capacities.

Some Former Regional Executives were also Elevated to Higher Status.

The list of Executives Elevated resulting in unsteady Positions in the Region are as follows:

  1. Regional Secretary: The Upper West Regional Secretary was elevated to the Status of Upper West Regional Minister, Leaving his Position unsteady and wobbly. He was appointed in February, Vetted in February and Started Work in March 2025.
  2. Deputy Regional Secretary, Alhaji Nuru Danwana has been elevated to a status as Mayor of Wa Metropolitan Assembly. He was Confirmed early hours of today, 17th April 2025 by the Assembly with an overwhelming 100% endorsement.
  3. Deputy Regional Youth Organizer: Mr. Abdul Rahman Zakaria (Markus) has been elevated to the position of Deputy Director General of CTVET, the news came up on Tuesday, 15th of April 2025. He was Deputy Registrar at the Dr. Hilla Limann Technical University before his Appointment.
  4. Regional Communication Officer: Mr. Issah Kantagyere Bonsingwini has been promoted to the Ghana Maritime authority by President Mahama to serve as Officer in Charge of Corporate Affairs and Communication.
  5. Deputy Regional Organizer: Mr. Prince Mahmoud is currently the Deputy CEO of Ghana Enterprise Agency.
  6. Treasurer: Mr. Abdulai Batiah Santi was appointed as Deputy CEO of Ghana Integrated Iron And Steel Development Corporation (GIISDEC) and currently serving in that capacity.
  7. Regional Youth Organizer: Mr. Basiera Sankara has been Appointed as Upper West Regional Director of Youth Employment Agency (YEA), He was Former DCE of Wa West District.

The Regional Vice Chairman would have made the number 8, but he was elected as Council of State Representative for Upper West Region, he wasn’t appointed.

Vice Chairman: Mr. Kwame Mumuni has been Elected as Council of State Representative for Upper West Region and is currently serving in the Position.

Former Regional Executives Elevated

  1. Former Regional Organizer: Hon
    Issahaku Nuhu Putiaha, A Former MCE of Wa has been Elevated to the Status of Deputy CEO in Charge of Community Water Resources and Sanitation.
  2. Former Regional Communication Officer: Mr. Puo-Ire Prosper has been Appointed as Deputy CEO of Social Investment Fund by President Mahama.

    Good morning

    thank you for the good work you guys doing. However this particular heading was not suitable for this wonderful and great news and update given us. It could simply have been stated for instance as “Upper West Region Shines: NDC Executives Appointed to Prominent Roles in Gov’t, Leaving Gaps in Regional Leadership”

    Because the heading sounded like it is something negative.
