Former Assembly Member for Zongo Electoral Area in the Wa Metropolis has been Appointed by the Ministry of Labor Jobs and Employment headed by Dr. Rashid Hassan Pelpuo as Upper West Regional Director of Fair Wages and Salaries Commission.

Before his appointment, he was Wa Central Constituency Organizer of The National Democratic Congress (NDC).

News of His Appointment came in, 23rd of April 2025 and was made known by Special Aid of The Labor and Jobs Minister known as Abubakari Bitis.

Hon. Adnan was shortlisted as one of the Applicants who showed interest in becoming the Mayor of Wa Metropolis but lost the Opportunity to Alhaji Nuru Danwana.

Hon. Issah Adnan is a Teacher by Profession, he served at the Wa Metropolitan Education Directorate before his Appointment.

The Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) in Ghana is mandated to ensure a fair, transparent, and systematic implementation of the country’s public service pay policy. This includes developing and advising the government on matters related to salaries, wages, grading, classification, job analysis, performance management, and allowances in the public sector. The FWSC also undertakes negotiations where compensation is financed from public funds.
