The Youth and the Vocations Director for the Ghana Province of the Immaculate Conception Brothers Known as Congregatio Fratrum Immaculatae Conceptionis, FIC, Br. Prosper Ganye, has placed a call on the youth of St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish in Lassia Tuolu to respond to the call for vocations in the Catholic Church.
In a recent visit to the Lassia Tuolu Parish on the celebration of the Youth Cultural Festival, Br. Ganye stressed on the importance of vocations on the Priesthood, Brotherhood and Sisterhood, and how they play a crucial role in the church and the propagation of education to the nation.
Br. Ganye said as the FIC Brothers are limited in number, he highlighted the need for more Brothers to teach in the schools built by the Church. Apart from teaching, he stressed that the FIC Brotherhood is also involved in street child postulate and youth empowerment programs, aiming to create a positive impact in society. By joining the Brotherhood, not only will the youth have the chance to help those in need, but also contribute to the development of their community.
The representative of the FIC Brothers during the durbar expressed their desire for more youth from Lassia Tuolu to join the society. They said currently, the Catholic Diocese of Wa only has one Brother from the Parish of Lassia Tuolu, Br. Williams Sortuor. They also mentioned that the FIC Brotherhood welcomes students who have completed Senior High School and are above the age of eighteen. This is a great opportunity for the youth of Lassia Tuolu to serve the Church and also help in give education and personal growth through the Brotherhood in the church and society.
The call for vocations is a call to serve, to lead, and to make a difference in the world. As the youth of St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish, you have the potential to become great leaders in the Church and contribute to the betterment of society. Do not let this opportunity pass by, answer the call and become a part of the FIC Brotherhood. Let us all work together to spread the word of God and bring education and empowerment to our nation.
