Upper West Region recorded the highest inflation of 37.1% with Volta Region recording the lowest of 18.3% in April 2025 According to Ghana Statistical Service.

Inflation rate for April 2025 is 21.2%
The Combined Consumer Price Index (CPI) measures the change over time in the general price level of goods and services that households acquire for the purpose of consumption, with reference to the price level in 2021, the base year, which has an index of 100.
The year-on-year inflation rate as measured by the CPI was 22.1 percent in April 2025 (Figure 1). This rate of inflation for April 2025 is the percentage change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) over the twelve-month period, from April 2024 to April 2025. The monthly change rate for April 2025 is 0.8 percent.

Food and Non-food inflation for April 2025
The Food and Non-alcoholic beverages inflation rate recorded a year-on-year inflation rate of 25.0 percent in April 2025 (see table 2). The Non-Food group recorded a year-on-year inflation rate of 17.9 percent in April 2025.

Regional Differences: At the regional level, the year-on-year inflation rate ranged from 18.3 percent in the Volta Region to 37.1
percent in the Upper West Region. Eight regions recorded an inflation rate above the national average of 21.2
percent.
