Mohammed Adams Sukparu, the Member of Parliament for Sissala West, has strongly opposed a decision by the Upper West Regional Chairman, Regional Executives, and Regional Minister to claim 30% of the School Feeding Program allocations from each constituency. In a statement, Sukparu called the move selfish, unjust, and unacceptable, vowing that Sissala West would not comply.

Sukparu criticized the selection of highly populated schools for the regional share, describing it as biased and unfair. He emphasized that Sissala West would resist the decision and block any caterers imposed by regional authorities from operating in the constituency. The MP highlighted the competence of local party members, asserting they are qualified to manage the program.

He reminded regional leaders that Sissala West’s residents, including market women, youth, and elders, worked hard to secure the party’s electoral victory. Sukparu called the allocation plan a betrayal of their efforts and warned of strong resistance if the decision is not reversed.

Hon Mohammed Adams Sukparu
I write with deep sorrow and profound disappointment regarding the outrageous and ill-conceived decision by the Upper West Regional Chairman, Regional Executives, and the Regional Minister to forcibly hijack 30% of the School Feeding Program allocations from every constituency — a move that is nothing short of selfish, unjust, and completely unacceptable.

Let it be clearly and firmly stated: Sissala West will not be a part of this shameful arrangement. If other constituencies choose to cower and yield to this unfair scheme, that is their decision. But as for Sissala West, we will resist this with every legitimate force available to us.

The selection of the most populated schools as the so-called “regional share” reeks of calculated bias and a total disregard for equity. This is a betrayal of the very people whose sweat and sacrifice brought this government into power. We will not sit quietly and watch Sissala West be shortchanged for political convenience.

Let me send this as a clear and uncompromising warning: No caterer imposed from the regional level will be allowed to operate in Sissala West . We have competent, loyal, and committed party members right here in our constituency who are equally, if not more, qualified to handle the School Feeding Program. We will not tolerate outsiders taking food from the mouths of our people.

During the elections, it was the very people of Sissala West — the market women, the youth, the elders — who contributed their money, time, and energy to secure victory for this party. It is an insult to now deny them the benefits of the very government they toiled for.

I will not rest until this injustice is reversed. This is not a plea — this is a warning. If anyone dares to proceed with this unfair action, they will be met with firm and equal resistance.

Thank you.
