In anticipation of the upcoming Tumu Community Cup, renowned sports journalist Fentuo Tahiru Fentuo has made a generous donation to support grassroots sports development in the Sissala East Municipality.

During a visit to Sakai—where the Inter-Circuit School Sports Competition was taking place—Mr. Tahiru donated two footballs each to all nine educational circuits within the municipality. The gesture was warmly received by circuit sports coordinators, students, and community members, who expressed their appreciation for the journalist’s support.

In addition to the general donation, Mr. Tahiru presented two extra footballs to the overall winners of the week-long Inter-Circuit competition as a special reward for their outstanding performance.

Speaking to the media, Mr. Tahiru said the donation was part of his commitment to promote sports at the grassroots level and inspire the next generation of athletes in the Upper West Region.

Fentuo Tahiru is currently in Tumu to participate in the Tumu Community Cup, a much-anticipated tournament organized by Betway, Peeva Beverages, Multimedia Group, Sissala Radio, and Radford FM. The event aims to foster unity and promote local talent through football.

Community leaders and sports enthusiasts have hailed the initiative, emphasizing the importance of such events in nurturing young talents and strengthening community bonds.
