The West African Examination Council has registered 14,733 candidates to sit for this Year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination. Male candidates are 6,805 whilst females are 7,928. A difference of 1,123

In total, 603, 328 candidates have been registered Nationwide according to the Director General of Ghana Education Service, Prof. Ernest Davis. 297,250 Males and 306,078 Females.

The female Candidates have outnumbered the male candidates by 8,828.

Some areas have been earmarked as hotspots for exam malpractices including the Ahafo Region and Bono Region.

Ghana Education Service has also cautioned invigilators to desist from engaging in any activities that seek to assist students in anyway at the exam centers.
