The Wa East District Assembly has confirmed Mr. Adamu Sayibu as District Chief Executive after months of tussle.

Mr. Sayibu was previously nominated in April but couldn’t amass the minimum number of votes required to be confirmed.

He was renominated by the president alongside others including Madam Mary Haruna,nominee for Nadowli-Kaleo.

Mr. Sayibu Polled 28 ‘YES’ Votes and 8 ‘No’ Votes to be confirmed as DCE for the area.

Before his confirmation, he was a Teacher with Ghana Education Service at Northern Star SHS.
