Wa Magistrate Court Places Injunction on Upcoming Alumni Elections of Dr Hilla Limann Technical University Slated for Tomorrow 25th June 2025.

The court Case with Case Number UW/WA/DC/A11/26/2025 involves Iddrisu Asuadeen Nanjo and 2 other Applicants vs Dr. Hilla Limann Technical University and Others.

This inline with growing concerns about some anomalies in the association’s voter register which has excluded some qualified voters from the exercise.

Some contestants also expressed other concerns including the lack of modalities on how the elections are to be conducted.

The electoral commission is not ready to organize the elections tomorrow.

Uptil now;
● No agreed register

● No modalities as to how the elections will be conducted.

● According to the EC, he was only given a budget to print only 60 ballot papers and he is considering printing about 80.

● The outgone executives who are also aspirants are not agreeing to add the 2024 cohorts who are automatic good standing members to the register. A group of about 400 alumni of which the registrar has prepared and submitted the lists to them about 3days today, have not found their way to the register.

● Again, there’s about 105 members who paid their dues, yet the outgone executives (Aspirants) said they won’t accept their names into the register until such members purchase membership forms for 50gh from them to fill before.

● The purported register as provided by the outgone executives who are also aspirants and published by the EC, stands at 88 delegates, from which they said about 11 are not qualified, meaning the current register is about 77 delegates. Just how?? How could it be 77 people going to determine the future of the entire association of thousands of members with about 570 people qualified and ready to participate but been denied..?

● The rights of our alumni matters.

As a result, the election will not be allowed to come on in it current form. We call on all well meaning alumni should stand up for the right thing to be done, else our dear association is further going down the drain.
