The Principal State Attorney of Upper West Region, Lawyer Saeed Abdul Shakur in a case involving the Republic Vs Elisha Mahama, Belinda Miller and Kweku Kankumbata has appealed to the Wa High Court to Release The Late Eric Johnson’s Presidential Villa in which he was reportedly murdered, to his family.

The crime Scene has been closed by the Police for investigations into matters surrounding Eric Johnson’s Demise in February 2024.

The State Attorney Appealed for it to be released to the Family for Renovations and for Business noting that the Presidential Villa has been sealed for over a year.

Despite Mr. Clement Eledi, Lawyer of the The Accused person by name Elisha Mahama Kicking against the Idea, Lawyer of the State, Saeed Abdul Shakur noted that, DCOP Darko Lomotey, The Upper West Regional Police Commander has indicated that the only time the crime scene will be granted access is when the court gives an order.

“Even the car involved was tendered in Evidence. We are making an appeal for the property to be released to the owners.” Lawyer Saeed Abdul Shakur Added.

Lawyer Shakur Assured the Court that Releasing the Facility which is a crime scene to the family won’t affect the trial process.

“Release of the property will not affected the process of the trial.” He noted.

The State Attorney’s Request was later granted by the Court.

Case has been Adjourned till Tuesday, 15th July 2025.
