The Member of Parliament for Sissala West and Deputy Minister Designated for Communication and Digital Technology, Hon. Mohammed Sukparu has issued a statement after he was appointed by President Mahama Together with Three other Deputy Ministers.

Today, I officially convey my sincere appreciation to the President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, for the trust and confidence reposed, and the call up to join him in service to this nation.

I count it a privilege in its highest order to serve in a responsibility of the Deputy Minister for Communications, Digital Technology and Innovation.

I am deeply inspired by my boss, the industrious and visionary Honourable Minister, Mr. Samuel Nartey George, who has already shown a blueprint of a transformed communications and digital landscape of Ghana. I am honoured to support this dream in motion.

I dutifully accept this responsibility and assure the good people of Ghana of my best. I shall contribute my experience, my knowledge, ideas and vision to advancing our goal in this sector.

Today is another time to thank my royal family – the chiefs and people of Sissala West for the love, loyalty and opportunity to continue to lead them in service. To my family, friends and comrades who continue to stand with me and for their well-wishes since this announcement.

I humbly seek your continuous prayers, ideas and more importantly faith, as I walk this new path divinely curated, for God and Country.
