Youth activist Alhaji Sisco has challenged residents of the Upper West region to put all hands on deck in the fight against drug menace in the area.

Speaking at a stakeholder engagement organised by the Upper West Drug Abuse Task Force at the Police Canteen, Sisco indicated that he and his team have already started the fight against drugs, particularly in the Wa Municipality.

He disclosed that he has so far seized a number of boxes of drugs from suppliers. According to him, there are 18 key individuals who are bringing drugs to the Upper West region whom he is scheduled to engage in the coming days.

Sisco asserts that the failure to fight the menace is because residents are condoning the miscreants in the name of being relatives. He argued that residents love it, the reason drug abuse is increasing in the region.

He, thus, called for the support of the security and urged stakeholders present not to leave the fight in the hands of any one person or institution.
