Lawyer Sylvester Jebuni, Representative of Lawyer Daniel Bewel on behalf of Abdul Halim Yahaya, Appealed for a case involving Abdul Halim Yahaya and Isaac Anaatakang on grounds of murder at Suuriyiri to be Adjourned despite plans to have a Case Management Conference (CMC) Today, 22nd July 2025.
The defense council called for The case to be Adjourned indicating the case must be Adjourned to pave way for another jury empanelling process.
The Case has been Adjourned till 14th August 2025.
Abdul Halim Yahaya Second Accused Person’s lawyer has issues with empaneling process , objecting it.
The State attorney blamed lawyers of the Accused Second Person for delay in trial of The Murder Case involving Jontong Naa Mutala Tendana at Suuriyiri, A Suburb of Wa Metropolis.
On the 16th of July, 7 Jurors were Constituted(4 women , Three Men) and lawyer of Second Accused person have challenged the empaneling process of the previous sitting.

Lawyer Appeals for Bail for first Accused Person, pending Determination of this Matter, “He is a resident in the Eastern Region and has persons to Stand in for him”. His Lawyer Appealed.
With reference to Section 96 5D a court May refuse to grant bail if the accused is to be charged in prison for more than 6 Months.

A1[Anaatakang Isaac] is not resident in Upper West but a resident in Eastern Region, Bowudua and it took Police to get him arrested.
Throughout the investigations he has confessed he has a hand in the murder of Mutala Tendana’s Death and could run away if he is granted Bail.
The Case is to be started and finished within a week – State Attorney
Isaac Anaatakang Isaac was denied Bail by the Court. Court indicated that the suspect could abscond to avoid Trial.
