The Minster of Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson Went through the Mid Year Budget Review Today outlined some pragmatic steps being taken by government to fix the Economy.

Under the Big Push Project, The Finance Minister Outlined Road Projects to be undertaken by government in Upper West Region and to support travels.

  1. Rehabilitation of Wa – Han Road;
  2. Upgrading of Tumu – Hamile Road;
  3. Upgrading of Tumu – Han – Lawra Road;
  4. Reconstruction of Navrongo -Tumu Road;
  5. Rehabilitation of Techiman -Nkonsia – Wenchi Road;
  6. Rehabilitation of Wenchi-Sawla Road.“Rehabilitation and upgrading of Kasoa – Winneba road, rehabilitation of Ofankor – Nsawam road (Dual Carriageway), Dualisation of Takoradi – Agona Junction road, Construction of Suame Interchange and Local Roads, Construction of National Route N18: Wa – Han road, Upgrading of Tumu – Chuchuliga – Navrongo including construction of 36m span reinforced concrete bridge over Kanyibie River and 24m span reinforced concrete bridge over Bechelihu river,” he said.

Others include the reconstruction of Navrongo – Chuchuliga – Sandema road, rehabilitation of Tepa (Mabang) – Goaso road, rehabilitation of Hohoe – Jasikan Road, Upgrading of Nkwanta – Oti Damanko Road, reconstruction of the Have-Hohoe Road, Dualization of Adenta – Dodowa road; and reconstruction of Jinijini – Sampa road.

Several people have also been alarmed after Wa-Sawla Road wasn’t captured in the list as promised by the Roads Ministry within the first quarter of the Year.
