The Upper West Regional Police Commander DCOP Darko Lomotey through his public relations office of Ghana Police Service has issued a statement on pragmatic steps being taken at Wa TI Ahmaddiya SHS after a final year Student was stabbed by a college Student.

REGIONAL POLICE COMMAND INTERVENS IN DISTURBANCE AT WA T.I AHMADDIYYA SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

  1. The Upper West Regional Police Command swiftly intervened in a disturbance reported at Wa T.I Ahmaddiyya Senior High School on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, following information received about an alleged stabbing incident involving two students.
  2. Upon receipt of the report, police personnel were immediately dispatched to the school, where they successfully rescued the student suspected to have committed the act. The suspect is currently in police custody and is assisting with ongoing investigations.
  3. The victim was visited at the Wa Regional Hospital, where he is receiving medical care and is reported to be responding to treatment.
  4. The Regional Police Commander has since engaged the school authorities, and police personnel (plain clothes) have been deployed to ensure calm and safety on campus.
  5. The Regional Police Command remains committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all students and staff in all the educational institutions in the region.
