Management of Wa Metropolitan Assembly have denied Owing Some Casual Staff engaged by SOCO, Thier Allowances.

Speaking to Upper West Media Team on 22nd of July 2025, Madam Ayisha of the Planning Office Indicated that the staff were supposed to contact the SOCO Office located in Degu Residential Area for Enquires noting that the Assembly has cleared the necessary Allowances owed them in the Assembly’s Capacity.

She added that, the responsibility on the assembly to pay staff of SOCO was withdrawn, this meant that the mandate to pay allowances of SOCO staff is now Within the confines of the SOCO Office.

She Urged affected Staff to channel their grievances to the SOCO Office at Degu in Wa Metropolis of Upper West Region.

However, the Coordinating Director of Wa Metropolitan Assembly Instructed that Madam Ayisha shows some documents pertaining to payments made by the Assembly to Upper West Media Team but she insisted the officer in charge of those documents wasn’t around, making the documents inaccessible.
