The Assembly Member for Dabo Electoral Area in Wa West District, of Upper West Region, Hon. Ambrose Gambozie has appealed for government to consider enrolling Gombile Primary School into the School Feeding Program.

Speaking to Info Radio’s Simon Bazaara on Wednesday, 7th August 2025 he said the issue has reduced student enrollment.

The Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP) started in 2005 as a pilot project to provide food to children at school. It’s a social intervention program aimed at improving food security, reducing poverty, and enhancing school enrollment and retention, particularly for disadvantaged children. The program is rooted in the Comprehensive Africa Agricultural Development Programme (CAADP) Pillar 3, aligning with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals related to hunger, poverty, and malnutrition.
