Substantive Principal in Suit

The acting principal of Tumu College of Education, Mr. Bukari Babia Abdulai today formally transferred leadership to the new principal during a brief meeting with various college units heads. This event marked the official transition of authority to the new principal.

The acting principal, Mr. Bukari Babia Abdulai, conducted the handover in the principal’s office. He offered words of encouragement to the new principal before officially transferring the college documentation. Mr. Babia acknowledged that the new principal had successfully met all the necessary processes and requirements to assume the role of substantive principal. He congratulated him and expressed readiness to support him in realizing his vision for the college. He remarked, “This is a significant day in the annals of the college, and I wish you a successful leadership journey. We stand ready to support you in achieving the vision you have for the college.”

The new principal, Professor Peter Agbedemnab, briefly addressed the gathering after receiving the college documentation. He expressed gratitude to the acting principal for maintaining leadership during the interim and extended appreciation to all former principals for their commendable contributions. He acknowledged the support he received for his candidacy, emphasizing that his appointment was guided by divine purpose and plan. He assured that he would not disappoint and called for everyone’s support.

Professor Peter articulated his vision for the college, aligning it with the institution’s existing vision and mission. He aspires to transform the college into a nationally recognized center for research and quality education. He stated, “I have four key pillars for the College: the institution itself, the staff, students, and the community.” He announced plans to soon unveil his vision for the college.

When asked to elaborate further on his vision, Professor Peter responded, “I prefer to let my work speak for me.” The handover ceremony was attended by the acting principal Mr. Bukari Babia Abdulai, the college administrator Mr. Salifu Majeed, senior auditing assistant Mr. Wahab Nabugu, and Mr. Eric, the finance director of the college.
