Upper West Region has received a new Regional Police Commander by name ACP Mr. Francis Yiribaare.He is to replaces DCOP Mr. Darko Offei-Lomotey after Serving for Almost Two Years in the Region.

DCOP Darko Lomotey moved from Upper East Region to Replace DCOP Prince Gabriel Waabu on 6th of December 2023. Currently, He is Commander of MTTD, National Headquarters.

The incoming Regional Commander formerly served as Director of Academic Affairs of the Ghana Police Academy and in different roles across the country.

Upper West Region has had 3 Regional Commanders in 3 Years.

DCOP Gabriel Waabu – 2022-2023
DCOP Darko Lomotey – 2023- 2025
ACP Francis Yiribaare – 2025 –
