The Price of Tomatoes has dropped grievously with several farmers complaining Bitterly in markets including Wa Market, Nyoli Market, Piisi Market etc.

When Upper West Media Team visited Piisi Market on Wednesday, 17th September 2025, Several tomato Sellers were dismayed with the low patronage, a basin of Tomatoes was going for Ghc30.

Despite the low price in Piisi, they hardly got interested buyers.

Some of the traders complained of lack of storage spaces and freezers as reason for the rice drop indicating the tomatoes could go bad if they aren’t sold out quickly, others indicated that with freezers they could preserve the tomatoes.

Meanwhile In Wa, a Basin of Tomatoes was trading at Ghc50 when Upper West Media Team Checked.

Price of Tomatoes are going to be relatively stable till Ending of the Farming Season in October.
