A Decomposed body found at Kumbiehi is confirmed to be a Boy by the Chairman of Wa Metropolis Security Council, Alhaji Nurah Danwana.

The Body was found at Kumbiehi, a Suburb of Wa In the Upper West Region according to the Mayor on Saturday, 27th September 2025.

In a Statement Released by the Mayor, he confirmed that police had begun investigating the issue.

“I’m saddened to inform you that a decomposed body of a boy has been found at Kumbiehi. The Ghana Police Service is currently assessing the situation for evacuation.”

Meanwhile in July 2025 a Dead body was found in a Manhole at Kumbiehi after which a directive was issued to close all manholes.

The Mayor of Wa Metropolis , Alhaji Nuru Danwana has today, 7th August 2025 Issued a directive to Construction Worker, Landlords building Within the Metropolis to cover incomplete manhole projects to prevent accidents and subsequent death records after a child was found dead in a Manhole at Kumbiehi after the Police Declared the child missing.

The 18 Months old Baby was declared missing on the 31st of July 2025 by the Upper West Regional Police Command in a letter signed by DCOP Darko Offei Lomotey, Upper West Regional Police Commander.

The Body was found on the 31st of July 2025 at Kumbiehi, a Suburb of Wa Metropolis
