Some Public Sector Workers including Teachers and Nurses had difficulties traveling to Charisombo on Monday, 29th September 2025 to Carry out their duties due to a heavy downpour flooding several Areas.
The Heavy Rain resulted in an overflow of the Kankanzie River, this resulted in people submerging in an attempt to crossover to nearby communities.
Residents of Charisombo were desperately in need of Healthcare services compelling them to travel through the Overflowing river with a Public health worker to her duty post, a dangerous situation people weren’t comfortable with.
The Nurse was able to cross over but in a horrendous situation.
Meanwhile, a teacher moving to his duty post wasn’t able to cross over to his duty post as a result of the water levels.
The Community members appealed for a bridge urging stakeholders, Leaders including the DCE, Hon. Mary Haruna, the Member of Parliament, Hon. Anthony Sumah and Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Albany Bagbin to come to their aid.
