Elisha Mahama, a Convicted Murderer of Eric Johnson, a Businessman and owner of Royal Cossy Hills Safari Resort has pledged to Appeal his sentence after he was given a life imprisonment sentence by Wa High Court.

He is to serve his sentence at Ankaful Prison in the Central Region of Ghana as directed by the Wa High Court Presided over by his Lordship Justice Yussif Assibey on Wednesday, 15th October 2025.

He Pledged to appeal his sentence insisting he is innocent.

”..I can’t fight the law than to pass through the channel of appealing..”. He Said.

His Counsel, Lawyer Clement Eledi Esq, Supported Elisha Mahama’s Decision to Appeal the case in a higher Court.

It can be recalled that In July 2024, Elisha Mahama and his Lawyer Requested for the Case to be moved from Wa to a Different Court in the Country, the request was rejected by State Attorney, Lawyer Saeed Abdul Shakur and Lawyer Lwanga Bagonluri, Lawyer of Second and Third Accused Persons by names Belinda Miller and Kweku Kankumbata Respectively.

Two other Accomplices of His, Belinda Miller and Kweku Kankumbata were Acquitted and Discharged after a 7-0 Unanimous Decision by Jurors of the Wa High Court.
