The Wa Metropolitan Assembly is yet to attend to Naa Momori Technical Institute after some parts of the School’s roofing infrastructure was ripped off by Rainstorm in April 2025.
With the school’s limited infrastructure, students are compelled to sit in congested classrooms to study. As school Resumes on 18th October 2025, No Renovation works have been carried out yet.
Tue Mayor of Wa, Alhaji Nurah Danwana in April 2025 Assured that the problem will be addressed but also appeared for some time to settle because he had assumed office barely weeks after the incident.
In April 2025, a Heavy rainstorm struck Naa-Momori Technical Institute in Wa, causing significant damage to the school’s infrastructure and facilities. The affected areas include Classrooms and the girls’ dormitory which were affected, compromising the learning environment.
The destruction of teaching and learning materials will likely disrupt academic activities, emphasizing the need for urgent support to restore the school’s facilities and ensure continuity of education.
The School is Under the Management of Ghana TVET Service.
The Wa Metropolitan Assembly has received over 7 million Ghana Cedis as Common Fund and has also been able to mobilized an IGF worth over 2 Million Ghana Cedis.
