Ahead of NPP Flagbearer elections In January 2026, several people of Upper West Region are counting factors they need to consider in order to take decisions in favor of a deserving candidate, some have considered Social Responsibilities whilst other have considered commitment to party duties.

Upper West Media Team has put to together some Social Responsibilities of the various candidates in line with Upper West Region.

These are the Candidates and the social responsibilities we can outline.

1.Dr Bawumia, Former Vice President on the 8th of September 2020, Dr. Bawumia handed over a house to 82-year-old abandoned cured leper. He
built, furnished and formally handed over a two-bedroom house to an 82 year old cured leper who had been abandoned by her family at Motori in the Wa West District of the Upper West Region.

2.Kennedy Agyapong

Kennedy Agyapong at Wa Technical Institute
Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has Supported Wa Technical Institute with 10 Fashion and Design Machines Popularly called ‘Tailor’ on 18th January 2023.

This was after the school appealed for the support to improve teaching and learning in the fashion and design Industry. Also cleared Outstanding Electricity Bills of Upper West Regional Library with Ghc70,000.

3.Bryan Acheampong: There are no clear social projects executed by Dr. Bryan Acheampong in the Upper West Region, maybe Dr. Is yet to bring a social Project in the future, we are yet to see it.

4. Mr. Kwabena Agyapong: A former National secretary to New Patriotic Party is yet to support a social Project In Upper West Region.

5. Dr. Yaw Adutwum: A Former Education Minister of Ghana, He served for Four years as Deputy Minister and four years as Substantive minister, he hasn’t given a social project to Upper West, no stem SHS block was allocated to Upper West Region during his tenure.
