Some vehicles in the convoy of President John Dramani Mahama were involved in an accident yesterday 11th November 2025 while he was in Wa for official engagements.
The incident occurred when several cars in the convoy braked suddenly, causing a collision involving over three vehicles. Fortunately, no major injuries were reported, and all occupants are safe.
Eyewitnesses said the crash caused minor damage to the vehicles, but traffic was temporarily affected as authorities cleared the scene. Security personnel quickly managed the situation to ensure the President’s schedule was not disrupted.
President Mahama was not in any danger during the incident and continued with his planned activities in the Upper West Region, which included launching the Wa–Tumu–Han–Navrongo road project under the government’s Big Push infrastructure programme.
The accident serves as a reminder of the challenges involved in managing large presidential convoys, especially on busy roads, and the importance of careful coordination between drivers and security teams.
Authorities have assured the public that an investigation will be conducted to determine the exact cause of the crash and prevent similar incidents in the future.
